Contest & giveaway · fictional brand: Coastal Bloom Skincare

Giveaway / Contest Campaign

A complete mock giveaway built for a fictional skincare brand — every asset a real launch would need, from the entry mechanic through the post-campaign review. Every organization name, prize, and number below is invented for demonstration purposes.

Goal

Grow Coastal Bloom Skincare's Instagram following and email list ahead of its summer product line launch, while generating a bank of permissioned UGC for future ads.

Audience

Existing followers and their networks — adults 22–40 interested in clean, reef-safe skincare, concentrated in coastal and warm-climate regions.

Prize

One "Summer Reef-Safe Ritual" bundle (fictional retail value: $185) — five full-size products plus a canvas beach tote, awarded to one winner.

Dates

Entry window: June 1–14, 2026 (14 days). Winner announced: June 17, 2026, after a 48-hour verification period.

Entry mechanism

Follow the account, like the announcement post, and tag two friends in the comments. One optional bonus entry for sharing the post to Stories and tagging the brand. All mechanics are platform-native (no external entry form), keeping the process simple and auditable.

Eligibility

Fictional example only — open to legal residents of the United States, 18 years or older, excluding employees, contractors, and immediate family of Coastal Bloom Skincare. One entry per person. Void where prohibited.

Entry announcement & content plan

Instagram feed post

Caption: "Summer's coming, and we're giving away our entire Reef-Safe Ritual bundle to one lucky follower — five products + a tote worth $185. To enter: follow @coastalbloomskincare, like this post, and tag two friends who need a skincare refresh below. Bonus entry: share to your Story and tag us. Winner announced June 17. Full rules linked in bio."

Visual: Flat-lay of the five bundle products and tote on a light sand-toned background.

Instagram carousel outline (5 slides)

  1. Slide 1: "We're giving away $185 in reef-safe skincare" — bold title card.
  2. Slide 2: What's included — product-by-product breakdown with small photos.
  3. Slide 3: How to enter — the three-step mechanic, numbered.
  4. Slide 4: Why reef-safe matters — one-paragraph brand-values note.
  5. Slide 5: Key dates — entry window and winner-announcement date, plus "Rules in bio."

Reel concept

Hook: "POV: you just won a summer's worth of skincare." Content: 15-second stylized unboxing of the bundle, shot as if from the (fictional) winner's perspective, ending on a freeze-frame of the full product lineup with on-screen text: "Could be you. Enter by June 14."

Story sequence (4 frames)

Frame 1: Countdown sticker to the entry deadline, bundle photo.
Frame 2: Poll sticker — "Which product are you most excited to try?" with two options.
Frame 3: Swipe-up / link sticker to the full giveaway post.
Frame 4: Reminder frame posted on the final entry day — "Last chance, ends tonight."

Email sequence

Comment moderation plan

Comments checked twice daily during the entry window. Spam and bot-pattern comments (identical text across many accounts) hidden, not deleted, so entrants aren't accused publicly. Any comment reporting a product concern is routed to Barbara for a direct reply within 24 hours, separate from entry moderation.

UGC permission process

Any Story share or comment tag used in future marketing requires a direct message asking explicit permission, referencing the specific post and intended use (organic repost vs. paid ad). No content is reused until permission is confirmed in writing and logged.

Fraud & compliance warning

Winner selection uses a documented, auditable random-selection method from verified eligible entries (bots and duplicate accounts excluded before the drawing). The winner is asked to confirm eligibility and provide a shipping address before any prize is announced publicly.
